Our Story
In 1982, Duke's Sanitary Service was started by John "Duke" Furrie Jr. and Gloria Furrie. This family owned and operated company was run out of their home up until 1999. We started with just a single pumper truck and throughout the years have expanded with the ever growing industrial market and started working along with pipe & steel mills to help maintain their environmental cleanup and industrial mill parks. As the residential and commercial needs grew so did our company. We invested in hi-tech water blast equipment, camera inspection equipment, state of the art snake machines and hi-pressure flusher equipment to maintain all of our customers’ needs.
In 1985, John and Gloria brought their son's Mark Sr. and Jeff into the business. Mark Sr. started and continues to run the residential and commercial side of the business and Jeff started and continues to run the Industrial side. In 1999, Duke's Sanitary Service became incorporated and opened a new office building at 1009 Youngstown Kingsville Rd NE, Vienna, OH 44473. After many years of hard work and dedication to their customers, John "Duke" Furrie and Gloria Furrie retired and gave their company to their sons. This company still remains to be family owned and operated with third generation family working and dedicated to continuing to service the needs of their customers. With over 100 years of combined experience, we service the northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania areas.
